CoinByte Weekly Wrap: Inflows Surge, Institutions Accelerate
Happy Friday! Welcome to the 15th instalment of the Coinbyte Weekly Wrap.
The market showed a modest recovery this week, with BTC maintaining a steady upward trajectory in USD terms. It climbed from the mid-US$75,000 range earlier in the week to a peak near US$79,400, before consolidating and settling around US$78,178, marking a solid weekly gain of approximately 3–4%. Price action reflected a gradual climb with minor pullbacks, indicating consistent buying interest rather than volatile spikes.Major altcoins delivered a mixed performance. Ether remained relatively flat with a slight 0.41% decline, while BNB posted a mild gain of 0.89%. In contrast, Solana and Cardano underperformed, falling 2.86% and 2.74% respectively, highlighting continued uneven strength across large-cap altcoins. TRX once again stood out with a 0.51% weekly gain, showing relative resilience, while DOGE experienced short-term volatility and ended the week down 1.33%.Trading activity remained robust. BTC’s average daily volume held close to US$39.4bn over the past seven days, aligning with elevated participation levels. Stablecoin activity stayed strong, with USDT averaging roughly US$125.7bn in daily volume, continuing to underpin market liquidity. ETH and SOL recorded approximately US$19.4bn and US$4.7bn respectively in 7-day average daily turnover.ETF flows added a notable bullish undertone to the market. Since Monday, total net inflows have reached US$641.8 million, while Bitcoin ETFs recorded US$996 million in net inflows last week — the strongest weekly performance since early January, when inflows approached US$1.4 billion. According to SoSoValue data, this rebound highlights a clear shift in investor sentiment back toward risk assets.Overall, this week’s market action points to a strengthening Bitcoin with controlled upward momentum, while altcoins remain selective without broad-based confirmation. The divergence suggests capital continues to concentrate in BTC and major liquidity hubs, rather than rotating aggressively into the wider altcoin market.
This week saw a strong rebound in capital inflows and continued institutional alignment, reinforcing crypto’s integration into mainstream finance.Global crypto investment products recorded $1.4 billion in weekly inflows—the highest this year—led by Bitcoin, as sentiment reversed and investors re-engaged following recent macro-driven outflows.Institutional momentum remains solid. Japanese institutions are increasingly viewing crypto as a diversification tool, with typical allocations of 2–5%, while corporate accumulation continues, highlighted by significant Ethereum purchases. At the same time, capital is shifting toward regulated platforms, with Hong Kong strengthening its role as a compliant hub for digital asset strategies. On the policy side, progress is accelerating. The U.S. is advancing both payment infrastructure access for crypto firms and stablecoin legislation, while Europe is pushing forward euro-denominated stablecoins, signaling intensifying competition in on-chain finance.Meanwhile, infrastructure upgrades continue to improve market efficiency, from native cross-chain stablecoin transfers to long-term security enhancements like quantum-resistant blockchain design.Overall, the combination of renewed inflows, institutional adoption, and regulatory clarity points to a market steadily moving toward deeper financial integration.
