Coinbyte Weekly Wrap: Institutions Take Lead, Bitcoin Anchors, Adoption Expands
Happy Friday! Welcome to the 16th instalment of the Coinbyte Weekly Wrap.
The market remained under mild pressure this week, trading in a slightly weaker and more consolidated range. BTC fluctuated between the mid-US$74,000s and a peak near US$79,500, before trending lower and settling around US$76,075, posting a weekly decline of approximately 2.15%. Price action showed a brief midweek strength followed by a gradual pullback into the end of the week.Major altcoins broadly followed Bitcoin’s lead, closing mostly in negative territory. Ether declined 2.76%, BNB slipped 2.58%, and Solana fell 2.72%, all reflecting continued softness across large-cap assets. In contrast, Dogecoin stood out with a strong 12.64% weekly gain, significantly outperforming the broader market, while Cardano managed a modest 0.56% increase. TRX showed relative resilience with only a slight 1.16% weekly dip.Trading activity remained relatively stable. BTC’s average daily volume came in at approximately US$30.4bn over the past seven days, while USDT continued to dominate turnover at around US$111.1bn. ETH and SOL recorded average daily volumes of roughly US$13.8bn and US$3.6bn respectively, indicating steady but slightly moderated participation. On the flows side, today (April 30) saw a notable single-day net outflow of დაახლოებით US$263m, marking a relatively rare крупный outflow event in the near term. This follows a strong prior week (Apr 20–24), which recorded net inflows of US$824m and extended the streak to four consecutive weeks of positive inflows.Zooming out, April has shown a clear acceleration in institutional participation: total monthly inflows have exceeded US$2.4bn—nearly double March levels—bringing year-to-date flows back into positive territory. Meanwhile, total ETF AUM has surpassed US$102bn, with cumulative net inflows reaching approximately US$58bn since launch.Overall, this week’s market action pointed to a continued cooling phase, with Bitcoin consolidating and most large-cap altcoins facing mild downside pressure, even as the broader structural trend of institutional inflows remains intact.
This week saw strengthening policy support and continued institutional expansion, reinforcing crypto’s move into mainstream finance.Capital and liquidity are increasingly concentrated in Bitcoin and regulated products. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust scaled rapidly, while institutional activity—from Strategy’s accumulation to growing derivatives dominance—signals deeper market control by traditional players. At the same time, real-world adoption is accelerating. Visa is expanding stablecoin payments, while Morgan Stanley and WisdomTree are building yield and reserve infrastructure around stablecoins and tokenized assets.Overall, with policy tailwinds, institutional scale, and rising onchain utility, the market continues to evolve toward deeper financial integration.
