Decentralized Social Network Farcaster Acquired by Balaji-backed Network School

Network School, under Balaji Srinivasan, has acquired the decentralized social network Farcaster from Neynar. This marks Farcaster's second ownership change this year, following Neynar's acquisition of the platform from Farcaster's original developer Merkle Manufactory in January 2025. The transaction covers the Farcaster application, protocol codebase, and all associated products. Most Neynar team members will join Network School, while co-founders Rish and Manan will depart from the project. Subsequent arrangements for the token launch platform Clanker have not yet been finalized.
