Evan Cheng, co-founder of Sui development firm Mysten Labs, announced in an open letter that the company has launched an AI business unit dedicated to developing "agentic trust" products and AI-native infrastructure. This unit encompasses engineering, product development and other functions, with a high degree of independence designed to reduce external dependencies. Additionally, Mysten Labs President Kevin Boon will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer, while Evan Cheng will continue serving as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and concurrently oversee the AI business unit.
