Quantitative Giant Jump Trading to Provide Market-Making Services for Computing Power Futures on Exchanges Including CME

Jump Trading and DRW are deploying trading teams and proprietary capital to enter the emerging AI computing power derivatives market. Jump has established a dedicated team, planning to use its own balance sheet to assume trading risks and provide market-making services for the computing power futures to be launched by CME and Silicon Data, as well as the competing contracts launched by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and Ornn. In addition, DRW also plans to carry out computing power trading through three teams adopting different strategies, and intends to trade Silicon Data's products, but has not yet decided which other computing power contracts to participate in. However, analyses indicate that this market still faces challenges such as insufficient price transparency, significant price differences for GPUs across different regions and configurations, and the non-storable nature of computing power.
