Apple Hires Meta Veteran Executive Scott Tucker to Lead Global Litigation and Financial Services Legal Affairs

Apple has hired Scott Tucker, Meta's long-serving Deputy General Counsel and Head of Litigation, to serve as the newly created Vice President of Global Litigation and Financial Services. In this role, Tucker will oversee worldwide commercial and patent litigation, as well as all legal matters related to Apple's financial products. Tucker will reunite with Apple's General Counsel Jennifer Newstead, who joined Apple from Meta in March this year. This appointment forms part of a broader restructuring of Apple's legal team, coming at a time when the company faces U.S. antitrust litigation, the ongoing App Store dispute with Epic Games, and lawsuits concerning privacy practices and delayed Siri functionality. Both Apple and Meta have declined to comment on the matter.
