ImportantSecuX Wallet App Still Malfunctions After Emergency Maintenance, Ripple CTO Exposes Phishing Push Notification Risk

Hardware wallet manufacturer SecuX has recently experienced service disruptions and security vulnerabilities.
On October 16, SecuX announced a major system upgrade and emergency maintenance for its mobile app. At 3:34 p.m. the same day, the official account claimed that services had resumed normal operation. However, as of October 17, multiple users have reported that the wallet remains inaccessible, with related services continuously unavailable.

Ripple CTO David Schwartz disclosed that the SecuX Android app has pushed fraudulent notifications to users. Clicking the link contained in these notifications redirects users to a phishing page that prompts them to enter their 12-word or 24-word mnemonic phrase, posing a high risk of user asset theft.

To date, SecuX officials have not provided a clear explanation for the specific cause of this incident. They have only publicly reiterated that the platform will never request mnemonic recovery phrases from users in any form, and warned all users to remain vigilant against related fraudulent content and never disclose their mnemonic phrase information.
