ImportantILITY Confirms Network Security Incident, Cross-Chain Bridge Suspended
ILITY announced on X on October 17 that a security incident had occurred on ILITY Network, and the ILITY cross-chain bridge has been temporarily shut down. The team is collaborating with law enforcement agencies, cryptographic forensics experts and investors to conduct the investigation, and has not yet disclosed the amount of losses or details of the attack. On-chain analyst Specter stated that a wallet was observed transferring approximately 35,700 ZEC (valued at around $41 million at the time) from a privacy pool, before moving the funds to the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks via NEAR Intents and multiple intermediate addresses. Its tracing results indicate that the related addresses are associated with the ILITY cross-chain bridge, and approximately 4.1 million ILY tokens have flowed out of the bridge. Due to the privacy features of Zcash, it has not yet been confirmed whether this batch of ZEC constitutes stolen funds, nor has the exact connection between these assets and the ILITY incident been verified.
