Bitcoin infrastructure protocol Echo Protocol announced that after nearly two years of operation, the team has decided to gradually shut down the protocol and terminate all related businesses. Currently, the lending service has stopped accepting new deposits and new loan applications, and has ceased accruing interest; the Strategy module has stopped accepting new deposits; the LSD service has stopped accepting new staking requests. Repayments, withdrawals, and necessary asset liquidation operations remain fully functional. Echo will officially cease all operations after November 14. Users may initiate withdrawals, loan repayments, and unstaking operations starting from 08:00 on October 19, with the deadline set at 07:59 on November 20. Any loans that remain unpaid after the deadline will have their collateral liquidated, with the proceeds used to repay lenders. After the deadline elapses, all remaining positions will enter liquidation or settlement procedures, with the exact timeline to be announced at a later date.
