Anthropic in talks to acquire ~$45B computing power from Nscale, potentially marking the second major deal between the two parties
Nscale, the Nvidia-backed AI cloud computing firm, is negotiating the sale of computing power to Anthropic, with the transaction value estimated at approximately $45 billion. Under the proposed plan, Nscale will construct a second facility at its Monarch data center campus in West Virginia, U.S., delivering 460 megawatts of computing power powered by Nvidia Vera Rubin chips, while Anthropic will also hold a preemptive purchase right for the third facility. Persons familiar with the matter note that the deal may be finalized in the coming days, though details remain subject to change. Per Nscale's IPO filing documents, Anthropic has previously signed an infrastructure agreement valued at roughly $44.6 billion with the firm.
