BNB Chain Launches Community Forum for New Layer 1 NewL1, Testnet Expected to Go Live by End of 2026
BNB Chain has launched a dedicated community forum section for its new Layer 1 network NewL1. This section went live in July 2026, with additional promotional campaigns held on October 17 and 19. NewL1 is EVM-compatible, designed for trading, payments, and AI use cases including autonomous trading by AI agents. Its targeted performance metrics include pre-confirmation latency under 50 milliseconds, TPS exceeding 100,000, and sub-second finality. NewL1 will not issue a new token, with BNB serving as the sole Gas token. The network will introduce the TxStream architecture to reduce front-running risks, integrate privacy-enhancing features, and develop a native cross-chain bridge connecting to BSC. The forum hosts discussions on technical topics including tokenomics, consensus protocols, and privacy, with price speculation discussions prohibited.
