Robotic AI Firm Dream Labs Secures $90 Million Seed Funding, Launches Foundational Robotics Model API
Robotic AI company Dream Labs announced the completion of a $90 million seed round, with investors including B Capital, Kindred Ventures, A.Capital, SV Angel, and Wing VC. Founded in 2026 by the former lead of NVIDIA's GR00T robotics research team, the company will allocate the capital primarily to computing power investments, expanding the range of tasks, robot types supported by its models, and its user base. Dream Labs has simultaneously launched the Dream API, which converts robot camera feeds and natural language instructions into motion control commands. The firm states that its Dream-1 model, trained via video learning, is compatible with robots from various manufacturers. It currently partners with over 20 hardware partners and supports desktop tasks including object grasping, placement, and clothes folding.
