OpenAI Updates Model Behavior Specifications, Adopting Five Core Values as GPT's Code of Conduct
OpenAI released the new version of the Model Spec today, restructuring GPT's behavior guidance system into five core values: faithfulness to human intent, harm reduction, honesty and transparency, preservation of human autonomy, and care for affected populations. The new version adds guidance on contextual understanding, human oversight, and user autonomy, requiring models to not only execute the literal content of instructions, but also understand users' true objectives and long-term interests, while avoiding guiding users toward choices without their consent. OpenAI also adjusted instruction priority and default behavior rules, and removed most detailed writing style specifications, allowing models to adjust their expression methods based on user preferences, language and culture, and specific scenarios.

CZ: The Impact of the Binance Hack Incident Is Far Less Than the Shock of the Mt.Gox Incident on Bitcoin
CZ published a statement responding to discussions that the Binance hack incident has a limited impact on Bitcoin's price, noting that the stolen $63 million in this incident is the largest in U.S. dollar terms, but not when measured by the quantity of BTC. Mt.Gox lost approximately 650,000 BTC in its incident, accounting for over 5% of Bitcoin's total circulating supply, resulting in a far greater impact. CZ pointed out that evaluating the impact of a hack incident also requires considering the number of affected users and the proportion of their impaired assets. In the Mt.Gox and FTX incidents, affected users and their asset scales were nearly fully covered, while the victim in this Binance incident is only the platform itself, with no user assets affected, and the platform will bear all losses. CZ acknowledged that this incident remains a major blow to the crypto industry, Binance, and himself, but emphasized that Binance is capable of weathering the crisis, with the top priority being protecting users.
